THE RESURRECTION
You have seen the brutality of the cross.
Now you must face the final reality.
THE CROSS WAS NOT
THE END.
Jesus died. It was absolute.
“Joseph took the body and wrapped it in a clean linen shroud and laid it in his own new tomb… and he rolled a great stone to the entrance of the tomb.”
A Roman seal was placed on the stone. A military guard was set. The world thought it was over.
“They went and made the tomb secure by sealing the stone and setting a guard.”
THE PLAN IN MOTION
Everything pointed to one outcome: Defeat.
But Jesus had already warned them. This was not a tragic disruption. This was the operation.
“He began to show his disciples that he must… be killed, and on the third day be raised.”
THE EMPTY TOMB
On the third day, history fractured.
“Do not be afraid… he is not here, for he has risen, as he said.”
The stone was not moved to let Him out.
It was moved so the world could see He was already gone.
The tomb was empty. Death could not digest Him.
“God raised him up, loosing the pangs of death, because it was not possible for him to be held by it.”
A PHYSICAL REALITY
[ X ] THIS WAS NOT A SYMBOL.
[ X ] THIS WAS NOT A METAPHOR.
JESUS WAS BODILY RAISED.
“Christ died for our sins… that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day.”
He did not return as a ghost. He rose in absolute physical victory.
“Christ being raised from the dead will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.”
THE ULTIMATE PROOF
The resurrection is the receipt. It is God the Father’s absolute declaration that the blood was accepted.
“And was declared to be the Son of God in power… by his resurrection from the dead.”
“If Christ has not been raised, your faith is futile and you are still in your sins.”
If there is no resurrection, Christianity is a lie.
But He has been raised.
BECAUSE HE LIVES
“He has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”
This is where your hope begins. Not in human effort. Not in trying harder to be good. In a living Savior.
The cross paid for your sin. The resurrection guarantees your life.
Do not move past this lightly.
This is the event that altered eternity.
JESUS IS ALIVE.
