WALKING WITH GOD DAILY
You have learned who you are in Christ. You are made new, brought into God’s family, set free from sin, and given the Holy Spirit.
Now you need to understand how all of that is lived out in a steady way.
NOT A SINGLE MOMENT.
IT IS ONGOING.
Walking with God daily is not a separate part of your life. It is your life. This is where discipline begins.
Scripture describes your relationship with God as a walk. It is not an occasional experience. The Bible teaches that those who belong to God walk in His ways and follow Him consistently. This means your relationship with Him is not limited to certain times. It is something that continues every day.
Walking with God daily means you stay connected to Him in a real and steady way.
This connection is built through the Word and through prayer. These are not optional. They are how your relationship remains active and how your growth continues.
THE SOURCE OF GROWTH
Jesus speaks about this clearly.
“Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.”
A branch does not produce fruit by effort. It produces fruit by staying connected to the vine. In the same way, your growth does not come from trying harder. It comes from remaining in Christ.
DESIRE AND STRUCTURE
Walking with God daily also means consistency over time. Scripture teaches that you are to seek God regularly and to remain steady in your relationship with Him. This is not about doing something perfectly. It is about showing up consistently.
“O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you”
There is a desire to seek Him. That desire leads to action.
This is where discipline matters.
Discipline is not punishment.
It is structure.
It is choosing to stay consistent even when you do not feel like it. There will be days where you feel focused and days where you do not. There will be moments where it feels natural and moments where it does not. Walking with God daily is not built on those moments. It is built on consistency.
INTENTIONAL TRAINING
“…train yourself for godliness;”
Training is intentional. It is repeated. It is consistent over time. This is how your daily walk grows.
[ X ] You spend time in the Word.
[ X ] You spend time in prayer.
[ X ] You stay aware of God throughout your day.
Over time, this becomes steady. Not forced. Not something you are trying to maintain through pressure. It becomes how you live.
WALKING WITH GOD DAILY MEANS YOU DO NOT SEPARATE YOUR LIFE INTO CATEGORIES.
There is not a “spiritual” part and a “normal” part. Everything is connected.
Scripture teaches that whatever you do, you are to do it in a way that reflects your relationship with Him. This means your daily life becomes part of your walk with God.
DO NOT OVERCOMPLICATE THIS.
STAY CONSISTENT. KEEP MOVING FORWARD.
Now that you understand the foundation of a daily walk, the next step is learning how to build consistent time in the Word so your growth remains strong.
