TRUSTING GOD IN HARD TIMES
You now understand that trials are part of your growth.
The next step is learning how to trust God when life becomes difficult.
EASY WHEN CLEAR.
TESTED WHEN UNCERTAIN.
Trust is easy when things are clear. It is tested when things are not.
Hard times expose what you are relying on. If your trust is built on comfort, it will weaken when life becomes uncertain. If it is built on what God has said, it will remain steady.
Scripture calls you to trust God completely.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
HIS CHARACTER REMAINS
Hard times often bring questions. You may not understand why something is happening. You may not see the outcome. In those moments, you must hold to what is true about God.
Scripture teaches that God is faithful.
“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.”
His character does not change when your situation does.
His faithfulness is not based on your circumstances.
THE PURPOSE IN THE PAIN
Trusting God also means believing that He is working even when you cannot see it.
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
This does not mean everything feels good. It means God is working through everything with purpose.
Scripture also teaches that God is present in difficulty.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.”
You are not alone in hard times. God is not distant. He is near, even when you feel overwhelmed.
TRUST IS ACTIVE
Trust is not passive. It is active. It shows in how you respond.
[ X ] Instead of pulling away, you stay consistent.
[ X ] Instead of giving in to fear, you return to truth.
[ X ] Instead of relying on yourself, you depend on God.
This does not remove difficulty, but it changes how you walk through it.
“for we walk by faith, not by sight.”
You are not guided by what you see. You are guided by what God has said. There will be moments where trusting God feels difficult. That does not mean you stop. Trust grows as you continue to rely on Him over time.
IN SIMPLE TERMS:
HARD TIMES WILL COME.
BUT YOUR FOUNDATION DOES NOT CHANGE.
God is still faithful. Hold to that.
Now that you understand how to trust God in hard times, the next step is learning how trials shape your growth and strengthen your walk.
