NEW DNA
One of the most damaging assumptions in the church is identity. Many know they are forgiven, yet they still view themselves as “broken sinners” trying to do better. Scripture declares a different reality.
Identity is Declared
Your behavior fluctuates: your identity is fixed. If identity were based on consistency, no human could maintain a stable relationship with God. Scripture says condemnation is not just reduced: it is gone.
Condemnation is a statement of identity. When the Judge removes it, the very definition of who you are changes legally and spiritually.
The New Creation
At the moment of salvation, you did not just receive a clean slate: you received a new nature. The old version of you did not just “get better”: it passed away.
This does not mean every habit changed instantly, but it does mean your standing before God changed completely.
Justification vs. Sanctification
Confusing these two concepts creates unnecessary shame. You must distinguish between your legal status and your daily growth.
Justification is a one-time legal declaration of righteousness. It does not fluctuate. Sanctification is the ongoing process of matching your life to that new identity.
Not Defined by Sin
Scripture does not deny that you struggle, but it refuses to let that struggle define you. Notice the past tense in the following briefing:
Sin is now something you fight, not who you are. The swamp is where you were: the throne is where you are seated.
Adoption, Not Probation
Believers are not on spiritual probation. You are not being “watched” to see if you can keep your spot. You have been adopted into the family of God.
Adoption speaks to permanence. God does not adopt a child and then reconsider the decision based on their performance.
Why Shame Loses Authority
Shame tries to tell you that you are your worst moment. The Gospel says you are who God declares you to be.
Shame may speak loudly, but in the court of heaven, it has no legal standing and no authority over your life.
Living FROM Identity
You do not obey God to become accepted: you obey because you are already accepted. This shift in motivation changes everything.
Love motivates the Legacy. Fear and pressure are the tools of religion, not the tools of the Kingdom.
When You Fail
Failure does not erase your identity: it reveals where your growth is still required. God’s response to His adopted children is restoration, not rejection.
Biometrics Synchronized
In Christ, you are forgiven, justified, adopted, and no longer condemned. This is the ground the Legacy stands on.
KNOW WHO YOU ARE. THE WAR REQUIRES IT.
