THE FINISHED WORK
You have seen what just happened in your heart.
Now you must understand the permanence of it.
Jesus did not merely start a process on the cross.
HE FINISHED IT.
“It is finished.”
These three words change eternity.
[ X ] THEY DO NOT MEAN IT IS ALMOST DONE.
[ X ] THEY DO NOT MEAN IT STILL NEEDS YOUR HELP.
They mean the work required for your salvation is absolutely complete.
HE SAT DOWN
“But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.”
HE SAT DOWN.
Not because He was tired.
Because the work was complete.
You do not add your sweat to His blood.
You simply receive what Jesus already finished.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
[ X ] YOU ARE NOT SAVED BY EFFORT.
[ X ] YOU ARE NOT SAVED BY TRYING HARDER.
SAVED BY WHAT HE HAS ALREADY DONE.
THE RECORD ERASED
Your criminal record before God is not under review.
It is shredded.
“having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross.”
The record is not being worked on.
It has been removed.
This is why your forgiveness is real.
THE FINAL VERDICT
“For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are being sanctified.”
Your legal standing before God does not fluctuate with your daily performance.
It is locked in blood.
This does not mean you will never stumble again.
It means your stumbling can no longer condemn you.
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
NO CONDEMNATION.
[ X ] NOT LESS CONDEMNATION.
NONE.
PEACE SECURED
You are no longer trying to earn acceptance.
You are accepted because of what Jesus has done.
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Peace with God is not a feeling you manufacture.
It is a legal treaty He signed for you.
DO NOT CARRY WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN CARRIED.
DO NOT TRY TO PAY WHAT HAS ALREADY BEEN PAID.
Do not move past this quickly.
If this is not clear, your entire walk with God will feel unstable.
THIS IS WHAT JESUS FINISHED.
