SET 7 // FIRE 1 // DEEP STUDY

HOW THE BIBLE IS BUILT

You have been grounded in truth and trained in discipline.
Now you are moving into deep study. This is the turning point.

THE FOUNDATION IS SET.
NOW WE REQUIRE PRECISION.

Up to this point, you have been using the ESV. It is clear, readable, and strong for building a foundation. Now that your foundation is set, we shift to the Legacy Standard Bible (LSB). This is not a change for preference. It is a change for precision.

HEBREWS 5:14 (LSB)

“But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.”

The LSB is designed for deeper study.

It stays closer to the original wording and structure of the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek. It is more consistent in how it translates key terms, and it is more literal in its approach. This matters at this level because you are no longer only learning what Scripture says. You are learning how it is built, how it connects, and how meaning is carried through the text.

Small details matter.
Word choices matter.
Repetition and structure matter.

The LSB helps you see those things more clearly. It allows you to trace meaning across passages without as much variation in wording. This is essential for accurate interpretation and deeper understanding.

A UNIFIED BLUEPRINT

Now you must understand how the Bible itself is built. The Bible is not a random collection of writings. It is a unified message made up of multiple books, written over time, by different authors, yet perfectly aligned in one direction.

2 PETER 1:20–21 (LSB)

“But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.”

If you do not see the overarching structure,

you will read it in fragments instead of as a whole.

Scripture is divided into two main sections: Old and New. They are not separate messages. They are connected.

FOUNDATION AND FULFILLMENT

The Old Testament establishes the foundation. It reveals God’s character, His law, His covenant, and the pattern of how He works. It introduces sin, judgment, promise, and the expectation of what is coming. Everything in it builds toward something greater.

The New Testament fulfills what was established.

It reveals Christ, completes the promise, and explains what has now been made clear. It does not replace the Old Testament. It completes it.

LUKE 24:27 (LSB)

“Then beginning with Moses and with all the prophets, He explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures.”

[ X ] If you try to understand the New without the Old, you will miss meaning.

[ X ] If you read the Old without seeing where it leads, you will miss direction.

[ X ] Both are entirely necessary. This is why structure matters.

THE FLOW OF HISTORY

The Bible moves with strict intention. It is not just information. It has flow. It moves from creation to fall, from promise to fulfillment, from law to grace, from separation to restoration. This flow connects everything together.

If you ignore that flow, you will take verses out of place. You will misunderstand context. You will apply things incorrectly.

Understanding how the Bible is built allows you to read it correctly. You begin to see patterns. You recognize connections. You understand why something is written, not just what is written.

At this level, you are not just reading for knowledge. You are studying for accuracy. This is where your understanding becomes structured instead of scattered. This is where your foundation becomes deeper instead of wider.

You are now moving from learning truth to handling it correctly.

/// The Bible is a unified message built over time. ///
/// The Old and New Testaments are entirely connected. ///
/// Understanding structure ensures accurate interpretation. ///

THIS IS THE BEGINNING OF DEEP STUDY.

Now that you understand how the Bible is built, the next step is learning the difference between the Old and New Testament in detail so you can see how they connect fully.
