Modern “Spiritual Warfare” has largely regressed into a form of Christianized animism, where believers spend more time “binding” territorial spirits than they do submitting to the sovereignty of God. This sensationalism is a distraction. Biblical warfare is not a mystical cage match; it is a forensic defense of the truth against the “schemes” of a defeated foe.
The conflict is objective. The Dragon does not attack with pitchforks, but with **lies**. His primary weapon is the subversion of the Word of God, a tactic perfected in the Garden and refined through centuries of apostasy. To engage in warfare is to stand in the finished work of *Christus Victor*.
THE HIERARCHY OF DARKNESS
Denotes the primary rank of fallen celestial beings. They represent the highest order of the demonic administrative structure. (Ephesians 6:12).
“World-rulers.” Entities that exert influence over the godless world system and the unregenerate mind.
The “crafty arts” or strategic deceptions of the Devil. The war is fought in the arena of the **Intellect** and the **Will**.

The Fall of the Accuser
Having rejected the Fear of God, the Shining One is cast down. He establishes a counterfeit kingdom based on autonomy and the “Mystery of Lawlessness.”
Disarming the Powers
“When He had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him.” (Colossians 2:15, LSB). The legal claim of the Accuser was shredded at the Cross.
The Panoplia of God
The believer does not fight *for* victory, but *from* victory. The “Armor of God” is a literal description of the **attributes of Christ** being applied to the believer’s life.
TRUTH VS. SPECULATION
“Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

THE SUBJECTIVE SNARETHE SOVEREIGN ARMOR
True spiritual warfare is found in the relentless pursuit of holiness, the discipline of Prayer and Fasting, and a trembling submission to the Word. The enemy cannot withstand a mind saturated with the Fear of God. The war is won. The tomb is empty. The Dragon is on a leash. Stand firm.
