WHAT SALVATION MEANS
You have seen what just happened.
You have seen what was finished.
Now this must be clear.
WHAT DOES SALVATION
ACTUALLY MEAN?
Salvation is not a feeling.
Salvation is not a moment you look back on.
SALVATION IS WHAT GOD HAS DONE FOR YOU THROUGH JESUS.
1. YOU HAVE BEEN RESCUED
Salvation means you have been rescued.
“He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son”
You are no longer where you were.
You have been brought out and brought in.
2. YOUR SINS ARE FORGIVEN
Salvation means your sins are forgiven.
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses”
Forgiven means they are not held against you.
[ X ] Not later.
[ X ] Not again.
3. YOU HAVE BEEN MADE RIGHT
Salvation means you have been made right with God.
“since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God”
Justified means declared right.
[ X ] Not improving.
DECLARED RIGHT.
4. YOU HAVE BEEN GIVEN NEW LIFE
Salvation means you have been given new life.
“even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ”
You were dead in sin.
NOW YOU ARE ALIVE TO GOD.
5. YOU BELONG TO GOD
Salvation means you belong to God.
“you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession”
You are not your own anymore.
You belong to Him.
6. YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD
Salvation means you are a child of God.
“he gave the right to become children of God”
[ X ] This is not earned.
THIS IS GIVEN.
7. YOU ARE SECURE IN CHRIST
Salvation means you are secure in Christ.
“I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand”
Your salvation is not fragile.
It is held by Him.
8. YOUR FUTURE IS CHANGED
Salvation means your future is changed.
“those whom he justified he also glorified”
WHAT GOD BEGINS, HE COMPLETES.
Salvation is not something you maintain by effort.
It is something you live from.
“he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy”
You are not saved because of what you did.
YOU ARE SAVED BECAUSE OF WHAT HE DID.
THIS IS WHAT SALVATION MEANS
DO NOT REDUCE THIS.
DO NOT MISUNDERSTAND THIS.
DO NOT TREAT THIS LIGHTLY.
This is not a small change.
This is a complete change.
