YOUR POSITION WITH GOD
You have seen that you are brought into God’s family. You are not outside anymore.
You are not trying to earn a place. You have been brought in as a child.
LIVING FROM
PEACE
Your position is not based on how you feel. It is not based on how consistent you have been. It is not based on whether you had a good day or a bad day.
Your position is based on what God has done through Jesus. Because of this, your position is secure.
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
This means the conflict between you and God is over.
You are not under His judgment. You are at peace with Him.
You are not moving toward peace.
You are living from peace.
BOLDNESS AND ACCESS
Your position is also one of acceptance. You are not trying to be accepted by God. You are already accepted in Christ.
This means you do not approach Him trying to prove yourself. You come from a place of being received.
“in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in him.”
This means you do not come unsure or distant.
YOU COME KNOWING YOU BELONG.
BROUGHT NEAR
Your position is also one of closeness. You are not kept at a distance.
“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.”
Your position is also secure.
“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
[ X ] That means your past does not hold authority over you.
[ X ] You are not living under judgment.
[ X ] This does not change based on your performance.
It is grounded in what Christ has done.
FEELINGS VS TRUTH
Because of this, your position does not shift day to day. Your growth may change. Your consistency may change.
But your position does not.
This is where many people struggle. They feel distant from God and assume their position has changed.
BUT YOUR FEELINGS DO NOT DEFINE YOUR POSITION.
GOD’S WORD DOES.
This is why you must stay grounded in truth. If you rely on how you feel, you will constantly question where you stand. If you rely on what God has said, you will remain steady.
Your position is not something you maintain by effort. It is something you stand in by faith. This does not lead to passivity. It leads to stability.
Because you are secure, you can grow without fear.
Because you are accepted, you can be honest.
Because you are brought near, you can remain consistent.
THAT IS YOUR POSITION.
DO NOT LET ANYTHING REPLACE THAT. STAND IN IT.
